How to ensure your child’s safety at school?

First 'byes' are always the hardest, and we HEAR you!

A safe and thriving environment is immensely important for parents to ensure better learning, making student safety at school highly imperative. Keeping schools safe allows children to look forward to being in an encouraging environment that promotes social, emotional, and creative learning.

Both physical and emotional safety measures ensure children feel more comfortable at school. These impeccable safety measures create an open space for kids to explore, learn and grow while adding to the academic success of each child.

That’s why, at NWS, our student's safety and well-being are our highest priority. All visitors are required to register and verify the identity and purpose of the visit with the security guard before entering the main buildings of the school. Multi-level security systems are deployed within and outside the School buildings to create a safe environment for our students. Other safety measures in practice at NWS include:

  • The senior leadership team, including the Director, NWS, are in the school much before the students enter the school.

  • Over 180+ CCTV cameras are installed across the school, including the entrances of all toilets.

  • Student toilets are clearly demarcated, and separate toilets are used by non-teaching staff.

  • Regular sessions on safe and unsafe touch are conducted for students to raise awareness.

  • All buses used by NWS are owned and operated by NWS. All drivers and conductors are employed directly by NWS after careful vetting of their credentials and references.

  • All buses are fitted with CCTV and GPS and all school buses have female attendants for bus duty.

  • Buses pick up and drop off the students inside the school premises, under the supervision of the school transport in charge.

So, yes, impeccable school safety promotes increased learning and higher levels of prosocial behaviour. Entirely in sync with this, we at NWS foster a safe, trusting, caring and welcoming environment for our students.
